How to dress if not going to diningroom?

If you have a big lunch and are more or less skipping dinner do you still need to dress as though you are going to the diningroom? Can you go to the shows or casino in shorts in the evening?

I've seen people do it, but I would have to say its not appropriate. Remember it is smart casual, so you really do not have to get all dressed up. In the evening, I would recommend a nice shirt or blouse for the ladies and a comforatable pair of pants. That would be the best plan. Enjoy your Cruise !
