Another quick question. Leaving Saturday April 3 or Century.

My documents states boarding time is 2:00 (not earlier is underscored). How strict are they?

We have made our own flight arrangements and our flight lands in Ft Lauderdale around 10.00am. By the time we get our luggage and taxi, I can see us arriving around 11:00 or a wee bit later.

Where will they have us wait? Can we get something to eat or coffee? Are we doomed to sit and wait until 2:00 pm.

Hi Julie. I was just on the Century last month. We had to check out of our Ft. Lauderdale hotel at 11:00 and the concierge rushed us into a taxi and we got to the dock probably at 11:15. They let you board right away, and you can hang out at the pool until 1:00, that's when you can go check out your cabin. So don't bring too much carry-on stuff with you or you'll have to lug it around for awhile. They also have a lunch buffet around 12:00 or 12:30 and the pool bars will be open around that time also. If you have any other questions, let me know. Have a great time, you'll love the Century!

Thanks so much. We were worried about were to park ourselves during the possible wait.

Well there you go!.... I have a small carry on and will make it light.... May even pack a swim suit to take in some Sun.

Julie:
Yes, head right for the ship. I was able to board a little after 11am . If you think you can find your cabin on your own (without much fanfare ) you can go to it and drop off your carry-ons. I generally place it in the tall closet out of the way of any cleaning that may be going on. Sometimes your cabin will already be finished anyway.

Don't woory about food. The buffet should open around 12:30. Explore the ship until they announce the cabins are ready. Have a great trip! You are going on a GREAT ship. Report back to us when you return.

Happy sailing!!

We're leaving on the Summit April 16th. We're staying with relatives in Fort Lauderdale for a few days beforehand. They're driving us to the pier. Boarding is at 2:00pm. I was thinking of waiting until say 2:30 - 3:00pm to board, hoping to avoid all the lineups. Think it's a good idea?

Hi all
Thanks for the info.
So happy to hear we will be allowed on the ship by 11:00 or 12 noon the latest.

We will bring our carry on with us until we have access to our cabins. I do not want to leave it in the room unless we can use the safe for some precious items.

On HOLIDAY MODE as we speak.
Tomorrow, Saturday, we need to get up at 4:30 am to get the airport by 5:00 am. But all worth it.
Will get back to you about our trip.

Hey Amorpgmr

Could not let this go by.

Small correction.. Our flight is from Toronto.
Flight leaves at 6:25 am........ so sorry about this.

It only takes us about 20 minutes to get to the airport. I can get ready real quick. Bags
are packed and at the door tonite. So believe you me I will sleep as long as I can.. We plan to leave at 4:30.

Thanks for the humour.
