Credit Card?

Visa and Mastercard are the most widely accepted. Amex is too, but some smaller businesses tack on a % surcharge because of the higher merchant fees they have to pay.

For cash, there are ATMs everywhere and they accept overseas debit and credit cards that have a Cirrus or Maestro logo on them.

Need to check with your bank re fees ... if I use my Australian Wesptpac card in the US on a Bank of America machine, it costs me nothing but if I go to another bank's ATM, I am charged a couple of bucks. It's the same in Australia ... if I go to my own bank's ATM, no charge but if I use another bank's, it costs me

Cheers

Bob
