After my last cruise on the Vision, I've made some pretty good friends who work on board. One of the topics of discussion is that some of them would like to be home for Easter. I thought I would make little care packages/ Easter baskets for some of them, as bit of home brought to them. (I go to the San Pedro port every Sunday to visit). So here is where I need input...

 

Besides basics of any Easter basket... anything fun I should include besides what's already listed?:

***remember these have to be small... they don't have much room in their staterooms***

1.CANDY

2. DVD's/ Books... stuff to help pass the time

3.??? HELP!!!

What about calling cards? Magazines? Hair supplies?

Maybe you could invite them to your home for a home cooked meal? I've heard the crew food is not so great, except for officers.

Our waiter on the Voyager told us he likes to shop at Walmart. Hope about a $5.00 or $10.00 gift card to Walmart so they can buy a book or toiletries?

Depending on the itineary, many of the crew shop at Kmarts on the eastern routes.

 

I also would send something regional to your home area. If you have specialty candy store or something unique to your region.

I live about an hour and a half each way from the port. I am baking bunches of cookies to take with me, (I work in a kitchen), but I was thinking something of a home cooked meal as well. Thanks so much for the input everyone! I'm almost done assembling the baskets.
