License Plates

My son is a collector of license plates. We will be in Belize next week and would like to try and find a plate. Has anybody tried finding a license plate in Belize?

Posted on the Roatan board also...Sorry, I do not have an answer for you but I am interested also. If you do find them please post when you get back. My DH collects them to put around our swimming pool at home. We usually find them in the straw markets on the islands.

I have always just spoken with the tour operator I have booked with in advance and asked for assistance. Most of the time they have a "real" license plate awaiting me after the tour to which I gladly provide them a gratuity for !
