I'm cruising in the Western Med in late-May and early-June.

 

Are the European schools still in session at that time?

 

Wondering with regards to crowds on shipboard and in ports.

Schools in England usually have a one week holiday the week of Late spring bank holiday Monday.

this yearthat will be the week beginning May 26th

Some parents will keep their children off for a futher week as it can be a cheaper time of year for holidays.

Schools get out in mid/late June in Italy. Then they don't start up again until October.

Sorry, I guess I was thinking of university only. They begin later (at least my own does!).

So, for a cruise leaving Civitavecchia on June 8th, we shouldn't expect too many children from Europe?

 

I know that most U.S. schools will be out by that time, but don't think there will be too many U.S. passengers with children. Too expensive to fly them over. :rolleyes:
