Jiminkcmo Posted March 17, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 17, 2008 I'm cruising in the Western Med in late-May and early-June. Are the European schools still in session at that time? Wondering with regards to crowds on shipboard and in ports. TIA. Jim

Jim Schools in England usually have a one week holiday the week of Late spring bank holiday Monday. this yearthat will be the week beginning May 26th Some parents will keep their children off for a futher week as it can be a cheaper time of year for holidays. photographia Posted March 20, 2008 #5 Share Posted March 20, 2008 Sorry, I guess I was thinking of university only. They begin later (at least my own does!).
Sea Island Lady Posted March 23, 2008 #6 Share Posted March 23, 2008 So, for a cruise leaving Civitavecchia on June 8th, we shouldn't expect too many children from Europe? I know that most U.S. schools will be out by that time, but don't think there will be too many U.S. passengers with children. Too expensive to fly them over.
