Days Inn Miami Intl Airport

How is this hotel for a 1 night pre-cruise stay? Is it in bad area? It offers on site car rental which would be a plus for us, and the shuttle to the port. Any other suggestions on reasonably priced places would be appreciated.

Days Inn Miami/Airport North was a real dump.

Days Inn & Ramadas leave a lot to be desired in South Florida. They're the franchise of last resort for hoteliors that shouldn't be hoteliors. :cool:

Not sure which Days Inn it was, but we stayed at one in Miami that offered free airport & port shuttle. It was disgusting! When we got into the room, we realized there was no toilet paper or towels. My husband and cousin wanted to walk to the store, and when they stopped a policeman to ask for directions he told them that they SHOULD NOT be walking in that neighborhood. On the morning we were leaving, there was a woman who was walking on the walkway outside the rooms, barefoot, filthy, talking to herself and obviously on something. The hotel ended up calling the police because she refused to stop harassing the guests.
