How are the AF aft cabins on th Pearl? I am thinking of an Alaska cruise, and it seems that aft is the way to go, but I am a little concerned that it will be too noisy, being just below the Great Outdoors?

We had an aft mini suite on the Pearl. We were concerned about possible noise from above, but didn't hear a thing! It is so nice to watch the wake, and very soothing to hear the sea at night. The balcony, with a good viewing area would be perfect for an Alaskan cruise. Go for it!

We have an AF aft on the GEM and from what I read, the aft rooms are great. I think you may hear the cleaning up of chairs at the Great Outdoors but I've read to leave your balcony door open so you block out the noise with the sound of the ocean. Plus you are not in your room most if the time so and the Great Outdoor closes around 11:30 I think.

Go for it!
