restaurant for dinner in Charlotte Amalie?

Our ship will be in CA until 11 pm so a group of us from cruise critic are considering eating dinner in town. Can anyone recommend someplace that perhaps has outdoor seating and a view of the water and/or island? Sounds like it could be kind of a rowdy crowd so really don't want anything too formal or stuffy. Thanks in advance.

When I lived on St John 25 yrs ago, when we went to St Thomas for dinner our fav spot was the mafolie restaurant... wonderful view, great food...

 

you may want to get a more recent reiew.. but the place is still there...

Hello,

 

Tavern of the Waterfront, Banana Tree Grill, Room with a View, Mafolie... all in the downtown area are great choices. Banana Tree would get my vote out of the four for view, service, food, atmosphere! If you are gonna be real rowdy perhaps Greenhouse (bar/restaurant) would work or perhaps Coco Joes at Morningstar Resort which is outside of town but not far from Havensight.
