We took a van tour, [get past the timeshare people first] they start out at $30.00 per, but if there is enough to fill the van [about 6-8] the price will drop to $15.00. The little train is about the same price and will drop you off and you can hop on the next one when you are ready. The van tour is about 4hrs and he took us to the Golden Zone and waited for us for about 2 hrs so we could eat lunch. We used Roberto [ tall goodlooking guy who spoke perfect English and knew his history - highly recommend him] as a bonus he kept his van stocked with water, beer and tequila, all complimentary!

You will be docking at the industrial dock which is a ways out of town. Walk all the way through the building with all the shops in it until you get outside on the other side of the building. All the taxis will be lined up there. They have regular cabs and the open air "pulmonias sp???). I think we paid $11 last year to the El Cid resort.
