BluexMoon Posted September 27, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 27, 2004 I have heard that the balconies on the Verandah Deck are not very private since there is no "roof" it opens to the Lido Deck. How open is this? Do people see you easily, or do they have to bend over the railing and crane their necks to see you?
CEWayfarer Posted September 27, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2004 We were on the Pride, Veranda Deck, cabin 7215. The balcony definately had a roof! Christy
BluexMoon Posted September 27, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted September 27, 2004 Really? Well, hopefully the person that stated that in the review I read was wrong. I am looking forward to a private balcony:D
hstrybuf Posted September 27, 2004 #4 Share Posted September 27, 2004 We were on Panorama deck on the Legend and couldn't see anyone below us!

mohavemommy Posted September 28, 2004 #6 Share Posted September 28, 2004 hstrybuf: Could anyone from the Lido deck lean over & see you on your balcony on the Panorama deck? Nobody could see on our Pride cruise this past April. We could partially see onto the balconies below, but nobody could see our balcony from the Lido above (I tried). We had cabin 8111.:D

MrPete Posted September 28, 2004 #8 Share Posted September 28, 2004 You may be thinking of the aft balconies.
nosnobunny Posted September 28, 2004 #9 Share Posted September 28, 2004 Not only was there a roof over our balcony, it was extended further than those on lower decks. Completely private. Beth
hstrybuf Posted September 28, 2004 #10 Share Posted September 28, 2004 hstrybuf:Could anyone from the Lido deck lean over & see you on your balcony on the Panorama deck? No. The Lido deck had a good size overhang, so the only person who could possibly see us would have to be hanging from a rope. ;)
BluexMoon Posted September 28, 2004 Author #11 Share Posted September 28, 2004 Maybe it was the aft balconies.
PB-HTB7 Posted July 15, 2010 #12 Share Posted July 15, 2010 Nobody could see on our Pride cruise this past April. We could partially see onto the balconies below, but nobody could see our balcony from the Lido above (I tried). We had cabin 8111.:D Sorry if this is in the wrong thread but I wanted to inquire about 8111. Is there any issues with noise from above? We are in this cabin this September. Thanks for your time and opinions!
MrPete Posted July 15, 2010 #13 Share Posted July 15, 2010 Wow. I wonder if the OP or the responders are even still around! It appears you are below the spa, which is closed at night, but opens at 6. It also looks like your not right under the equipment.

I guess I am under the ladies room spa which isn't too concerning. I appreciate you taking the time to respond!
