Onboard credit

Recommended Posts

For the past five years I have done 10 day cruises. For the past three, I have had a JS. We were given $200.00 onboard credit. This year I am in JS on a 7 day. What is my onboard credit? (we booked onboard last year)

What are cruise credits?

(Yes, I am new to cruising)

This concerns Royal Caribbean's rewards program for repeat cruisers. It is called the Crown & Anchor Society.

Each time you cruise, you receive a cruise credit. If you take that cruise in a JS or larger, you get a second credit for the same cruise. If you take a 12 day or longer cruise, you get an additional cruise credit. There is a maximum of 3 cruise credits per cruise.

You are Gold after you complete one cruise.

You are Platinum after you receive your fifth cruise credit.

You are Diamond after you receive your tenth cruise credit.

You are Diamond Plus after you receive your twenty fourth cruise credit.

Robinob - did you get your C&A balcony discount? You have to be at least Platinum (with just the 3 previous JS's). Platinum discount is $100. Diamond is $200.

It's not OBC but don't want you missing out on anything. :D

It's not automatic. You have to ask for it. Although when I recently made my reservations for Independence, the CVP noticed my status before I asked and went ahead and applied my discount.

What do these levels do for you?

C&A Benefits

Best benefits, IMO, are the balcony discounts after reaching Platinum (see my previous reply detailing amounts) and access to the Concierge Lounge (or Diamond Lounge on Freedom class ships) after reach Diamond.
