Baja Mexico Cruise

I can't seem to find any information on the 4-day Baja Mexico cruise. Four of us are going in May and want to know what there is to do in Catalina and Ensenada? Any good recommendations?

There is a information if you comb through the posts. What ages are traveling? We've not been to Catalina, but I can't imagine it will be hard to find things to do in the general "look around" and "relax" category.

My DW and I have been to Ensenada 3 times and done a variety of things. La Bufadora (blow hole) is okay, the town is average, but we have a nice little back alley tacqueria we really like. We did the wine tasting tour while on the Carnival Elation last June and it was a blast. Wine was okay, but it was a lot of fun.

I've been to Catalina a million times (well, at least it seems that way). I used to practically live there on our boat in the summers. There are a lot of things to do there. If you just want to walk around, you can do that. There are cute shops with lots of sea shells and other tourist items for sale. There is a miniature golf course. There are glass bottom boat tours. There is the movie theater in the Casino (not a gambling casino) that is really neat to see. There is also a museum there on Catalina history. If you eat meat, you have to have a buffalo burger at Eric's on the pier. They actually raise the buffalos on the island. There are bus tours of the island. It is a great place to visit. Have fun.

We had a blast by renting a golf cart and touring the island! The golf cart eated 4 and had lots of power to get us around the island. We enjoyed seeing the sites, taking pictures, and finding a great place to eat lunch. The cost was minimal and it made for a great day! There are several places to rent the golf carts so no need to reserve in advance.

Do you recall the price you paid to rent the golf cart, and if so was that for a half day or a full day of rental? We are going in May with our two little girls (5 and 6) and thought this might be a fun way for them to see the island!

I was also wondering if someone knoew how far away the miniture golf course is from the dock? Is it walkable? Thought we might do this if we don't rent the golf cart!

We are going to ensenada in June and to cabo....is there anything we really must do. THere will be 6 of us....4 adults, and 2 kids. We have sailed carnival, but never from san diego. Any suggestions would be great.

The golf cart rentals are $35 for two hours. They do have carts that will hold six. It,s a nice way to see around Avalon. There are only a few cars allowed on the Island, so you do not have traffic to worry about.

We have been to Ensenada several times. It,s a very large town but the old downtown area isn't to bad. You can do the blow hole tour, there is a flea market there. Wine tour is fun, they have a tour that goes up the coast to Fox studios, never been there.

Have a great cruise

I assume you're on the Elation. My wife and I cruised it last June. Here's the link to my long review.

Thanks for the review, it was great. The only thing i have heard bout Ensanada is how awful it is, so its always nice to hear that there is some fun things to do there. I heard a place called Taco Luceros. Have you heard of that? I only ask is because that is our last name and it would be fun to get a picture of it. anyways, thanks for the review, and i so wish our cruise was leaving tomorrow and not in 70+ days....
