Sapphire Princess balcony - blackout drapes?

Hi all, we are cruising on Sapphire Princess to Alaska June 21 and were wondering if the balcony rooms had blackout drapes. We have heard that alot of people have trouble sleeping with it staying light out so late and getting light so early. Thanks for your input.

We've only been in Princess mini-suites and suites, which definitely have black-out drapes... which really keep out the light! I would assume all cabins have black-out drapes.

Every Princess ship we have cruised on has always had curtains that blocked out all of the light when closed correctly. You should have a problem, the room steward will close them tightly at night when he makes up the room.

There are two sets of drapes: one is light and gauzy so that you have privacy while still getting light; the other is a lined black-out curtain. If you close them so that they overlap in the middle, you won't see much light at all, if any.

The drapes do blackout the light, but there is always a little light about the edges. Plenty dark for sleeping, but questionable if you plan on developing film.
