The only photos that meant something to me are the ones titled "Personal Working Area" - since I worked at the US Embassy for five years and jogged everyday en parque palermo (thus my screen name). If you have anymore photos of that area (anything in Palermo) - or where I lived in Belgrano - I would love to see them.

Maybe you refer to Santa Fe as Cabildo Avenue and I perfectly know the area as I am living just opposite to the Zoo and Botanical gardens Main Entrances and just across from Plaza Italia (Italy Square) on Santa Fe Avenue.

And, yes, I meant Cabildo - not Santa fe. Depending on which colectivo I took to work in the morning - I would catch one on Cabildo and take it to where you live at plaza italia - and then walk alongside la rural into ave colombia to la embajada.

I also love this area ... it's so green really (though a bit noisy). That's why I bought this apartment on the 12th floor.

And what can I tell you? I also miss Las Vegas a little. And I miss Blue-Eyed Frankie singing "Summer Wind" in the movie I took in 1993 when I was there for the last time.

That was very kind! In actuality, I consider BA more of a home than Las Vegas. I have only lived here three years and I lived in Belgrano for five years. Also, I became attached to the country because I married an Argentine (we divorced a few years ago but we are still friends) - she lives in Washington, DC but her parents live Mar del Plata.

By the way, I thought of the street in Belgrano where I lived: Arcos. It was a beautiful building and I was on the 14th floor. I loved that area more than any other I have ever lived.

When I lived there (1987-1992) - inflation was running 5000% annually. When I arrived a 100 Austral note was worth $100 - when I left it was worth less than one cent (US). I understand that Menem kept inflation and the exchange under control but obviously with what has happened lately he was probably doing it with mirrors.

Tell me, is Susana Jimenez still popular? There was also a very popular show on with Nico (can't remember his last name).

I miss my jogging in Palermo Park - and Fredos ice cream - and my bife from Rio Alba - and all the beautiful Argentine women (especially on the beaches of MDP and Punta.
