Firsthand experience with Ketchikan Kayak Fishing excursion?

I am considering doing this excursion in Ketchikan because #1 son is eager to try his hand at fishing and #1 daughter is eager to kayak.

 

The owner/operator, Howard, has been extremely responsive & helpful in answering my questions (I have some stiff-knee issues).

 

I did a Forum search and found a short thread on this outfit, with some rather negative comments posted about it. However, it was all speculation -- I haven't seen any posts from folks who may have done this particular outing.

 

Has anyone taken the bait :D on this excursion (sorry, I couldn't resist) ?
