car rental at port of miami

anyone rent a car at FLL and drop off at the pier where fascination docks? wondering if this is possible. we get into town at 9am and would have some time to kill before they let us onboard. if it is going to cost us $$ to get from FLL it would be about as cheap to rent a car if there is a drop off near or at the port. seems like i rented one after getting off a ship once but never did it the othet way.

I just went on a cruise a few weeks ago and it worked out perfect. Flew into Ft Lauderdale 10:00am had a prebooked car thru dollar went to the counter at the airport and was at my car within 20 minutes. Drove it all day went to south beach returned it to the Miami airport (outside of airport) by 9:30 the next morning and was on free shuttle to to port of miami within 25 minutes, I think I was dropped off right in front of my ship by 10:30-11:00.
