Spa Specials On Gem

Anyone who has sailed the GEM and used the spa, what kind of specials did they run during the week? Was it hard to get appointments?

I had no problem getting an appointment for the "20-20-20" special for $109. You get to pick 3 treatments from a list each 20 minutes. I think I had neck/shoulder massage + arm/hand massage + feet/leg massage. There were a couple others to choose from so it's basically a design your own massage!

Hey Suzimack! Stop following me! I was really inquiring about the spa treatments. The $20 a day ($75/week) is for the runaway and hide spa. I know my DH will do that and I am thinking about it. I hear it's a very relaxing place and has a great view!:)

Generally, if there is a spa treatment you must have, then book once you board so you get to select the time and day of your choice. If you are flexible, then specials are run when the ship is in a port-of-call (less business during that time). If the slots get filled immediately, then you are less likely to see specials. It varies from week to week depending on the demand. All of the above is based on assumptions from my cruising experience.

NCL website has a list of services but no prices. :o You can find it under the "onboard activities" tab. They include massage, facial, body wrap treatments as well as hair, nail and skin services.

 

I think the hot stone heaven massage sounds pretty nice! Wonder what the price tag is?
