Halifax/ Saint John Question

Our cruise goes to Halifax and then Saint John. Do we go through customs and immigration at both ports or just the first port? just wondering if i should leave extra time if I book a private excursion. Thanks

There are no custom formalities - you just walk off ship. You will clear US Customs when leaving ship at end of your cruise.

So it isn't like when we drive into Canada from NY where they stop you and ask tons of questions? Last time I thought they asked so many questions and then he says well I see you have no priors go ahead! I was thinking if they do this to 3000 people that will take awhile. Glad to know it isn't like that!
