Diamond cabin L205 under gym - advice

Diamond Lido cabin L205????

 

We booked a guarantee BF balcony, and requested a port side.

They have up-graded us to the Lido deck - starboard side, way up front - We are in cabin L205, which is directly under the treadmills in the gym.

I don't like the idea of hearing thumping while I'm watching the news etc.

We aren't cruising for 7 weeks, so I guess it could change yet??

 

With us booking a guaranteed catagory - Can I now ask to change to where there are cabins above me ? - or even the port side would be better.

 

Please give me your thoughts about this cabin -???? I don't feel good about this cabin, after reading about other's experiences.

 

What should I do?

This is why I don't book Guarantee cabins anymore. You never know where you will be placed. I would call and see if you can get them to change change. good luck

Just remembered we knew someone on a cruise whos cabin was under the gym, and it was quite noisy especially early in the mornings.

Fllady - We were only offered a guarantee BF catagory - It was mostly sold out when we booked. But - I learned something - You Can change a guarantee!

L205 is right under the gym + treadmills!

I have had a room like that before. Never again!

I had got myself so whipped up over this I almost wanted to cancel the whole thing. My TA is off today, and I didn't think you could change a "guarantee catagory upgrade"

Anyways I phoned princess + calmly told him that I was worried, and he actually knew the cabin # - and said " Oh god!" HA! HA!

After some searching he double booked me ( HELD) caribe C727 Aft for me.

til my tA can change it tomorrow.

I also tend to feel sick from the motion - so this is much better!

They were so wonderful - and I am happy now - Please cross your fingers that nothing goes wrong til it is completed tomorrow.

Same thing happened to us in Feb. on the Golden. Booked guar. got Lido #202. I called Princess, practically pleading, to change the room. I couldn't believe how kind the lady was. She held a Carib Balcony, and after I contacted my TA, it was changed immed. Try it, you have nothing to lose. GL
