FLL Airport or Beach Hotel for Eight Hours?

I have a very late flight post cruise next month and want to spend the day at a hotel pool or exercise room near the airport. I'd want to check my bag and have one or two meals there, as well as beverages. No room necessary, just a shower close to flight time. At the MIA airport I paid about $25 to use their facilities in a similar situation--any recommendations for FLL?

Just this week I booked a room for "day rates", $50, at the Comfort

Suites Cruise Port/airport. They offer free transportation from the cruise port and the aiport as well.
