Being charged to play at the CASINO?

I've read some posts around the boards and either I'm confused or people are explaining it in completely different ways. When I want to play with my money on the casino and NOT be charged a fee how would I go about doing that. I get usuing your S&S card to gain points, etc. but I do not want to be charged a fee for using it. Can I just use cash or is there a way to use your S&S card without being charged a fee. Thanks and I hope this makes sense.

Use your S&S card in the slots to gain points. Use cash to play.

You can't incur a charge by accident. To use your S&S instead of cash, you must go through several steps, including using a pin number and choosing the amount that will be debited. You have to agree to the 3% charge before the credit shows on your slot machine.

So, no worries!

Stick your S&S card into the proper place to allow the casino to monitor your play and gain points. Use your cash to play.

You can use cash.

I don't know about fees for using the S&S card to get access to cash cause I've never done that. The only time I used the S&S card to "play/finance" was after I reached 1000 points which gave me $10 in free play. Any of the casino hosts can explain how it works.

I used my S&S card on Freedom and was only charged a fee when I used it to withdraw money from the card into the slot machine. There wouldn't be a fee if you just plan to put your card in the machine to track your bets, accumulate points and create a bank.

The casino is more than glad to let you use your own cash. ;)

how much money do you have to spend or play to gain the 1000 point for $10 of free play money?

I believe it's a combination of how much money you put in and how much you win. I'm not sure how much I put in but it was probably more then my mom, I didn't quite reach the 1000 points in the week and I didn't win at all (after a few days I swithced to Blackjack and had better luck), she on the other hand got to the 1000 points twice, she won all the time.

You can put cash in the machine, play awhile and then upload the balance of your cash to your "player's bank" on your S & S card. When you switch machines you just debit from your palyer's bank....there's no fee involved. You're only charged a fee when you charge money on your S & S card to play in the casino.

It works out to be quite a bit...maybe $.75 for each point. I win some, lose some and play awhile on their money....I've gotten the $10 credit up to 7 times on an 8 day cruise

It is the total amount of play. In other words it does not have to do with the amount you put in. If you are consistently winning and losing it adds up that amount.

For example you can put $20.00 in and if you play on the same machine all night on that $20.00 it adds up really fast.

Hope that makes sense....

Actually, if you are just using it in the slot machines, there is no additional charge. I used it for the slots and it shows the exact amount I added to my player bank as the amount on my S&S receipt. No added fee.

Ref the 1000 points for $10. It depends on how lucky you are. I probably spent about $200 total and reached 1000 points because when I won I just kept playing. Of course my net winnings was approximately -$200.

It must vary from ship to ship.......because I have always been charged 3% using my S&S for cash advanced..........

Not a cash advance. I never received any actual funds. It was just added to my player bank, all done at the slot machine itself.

If you debit your S&S to add money to your player bank. That is a cash advance.....

Okay. But there was no fee added. I doubled checked my S&S bill. It was debited for the exact amount I added to the player bank. No fees were added anywhere else.
