Caribe deck on Emerald

Thanks to anyone who can answer my question! I am wondering if balconies on the Caribe deck are partly covered and partly open?

Yes, all grand class ships are alike.

Caribe deck always partly open, partly covered and larger than other decks. Emerald deck always completely covered and also a little larger than other decks. We love the Emerald Deck for Alaska to shield us from rain and it was very helpful for Panama Canal when it was so hot. We especially like the Emerald deck on the Island and Coral.

Not on the stern!

Balconies on the Caribe Deck (Emerald) port and starboard sides are 1/2 covered and 1/2 uncovered. AND, they are just about twice as large as those on the other decks. Because of the balconies the Caribe staterooms are the 1st to book up so if there is one available and you want it grab it now.

Got an answer to my question. We have had suites on Caribe deck--stern & the suites we have had are half covered.

The Caribe deck cabins on the side of the ship are terraced out while the stern cabins and suites are flat against the ship and no one can see down on to the balcony.
