Coffee/shop and/or restaurant at New York Pier

We are sailing on the Dawn in June and our return bus back to Boston is not scheduled to leave until 1:00 PM.

 

We are wondering if there is a coffee shop and/or restaurant at the pier terminal where we can wait after disembarktion until we board the bus.

There is nothing like that at the pier, but I am sure that there is something nearby.

Yes there is.. they basically sell bagels hot dogs coffee and soft drinks..

there is not much in the direct vicinity either.. so maybe you can smuggle some muffins or something from the ship!:D

Yes, there is a coffee shop at the front of the terminal.

Not sure about the wait. If you have a 1pm flight, you should be at the airport around 11am. That means the bus leaves at 10am. That means you leave the ship around 9 am or so, then find your bags. Then go through customs and immigration, then find your bus.

Excellent point.

CBP now checks EVERY passport when you embark and disembark the ship.

You may have a long line if all passports are not in order;)

yeah there is a concession stand inside the terminal. but as already pointed out...you may not have the luxury of time since your flight is 1pm.

 

personally enjoy the last moment on board as long as you can.

We are not going to the airport but are taking an Entertainment Tours bus back to Boston, and it leaves at 1:00 PM.

This will be the fourth time that we are taking a bus from and to Boston and it is the least stressful of all choices.

Walk up 57th Street to 10th Ave. There are a lot of coffee shops and restaurants there because there is a hospital right in that area.

Some of us (me) can not read well. Taking the bus is a great way to avoid lots of hassle for sure. Bummer that they do not leave until 1pm though. I would guess the bigger hassle is what to do with bags. We did a back to back from NYC last year, and walked into town while everyone else was dealing with getting off or getting on. Lots of little sidewalk cafe's about 5 blocks away. But dealing with bags? Just checked their website, but no help there.

The last time we took the bus we got off the ship at about 11:30 (not even last call). By the time we found our luggage, got through customs and down the elevator to where the busses are we only had about a 20 minute wait. This time I know better and will have a nice sit-down breakfast and be one of the last off the ship. The bus should be there by then.
