Celebrity had lower rates then RCCL for 3/4 in cabin to Alaska 2009

I called Celebrity yesterday and got some great FV and CC cabins for our family for Alaska 2009... but to make sure the rates were competitive, I called RCCL today in case there was a difference. Well the opposite is true! We have quite a few kids in our group, as well as grandparents, and for the same dates it was $399 pp 3/4 versus $979 pp 3/4. Is RCCL just trying to gouge the families on their ships, or is Celebrity really low (we are going to the Caribbean and it is $599 there)? Or could it be both? Well.. regardless... it made the decision really easy for us... Summit Alaska 2009 here we come!
