PEI: Dalvay By The Sea?

Has anyone done an excursion to the Dalvay resort on PEI? There is an "exclusive" excursion offered by Holland America that includes a lobster lunch in the dining room there. Just wondering if it would be worth the higher cost versus renting a car,etc. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I`ve never been to Dalvay by the Sea but you can get a decent lobster meal in many restaurants right in Charlottetown, if that`s what you`re looking for. I`d go for the tours that include the Inn at Bay Fortune or The Island Preserve Company before Dalvay. What is it you want to experience most when you are here and I`ll suggest something.

We went to Dalvay on an excursion that also included the Anne of Green Gables house. The lunch is great, and the views, both at Dalvay and on the drive through PEI National Park, are breathtaking. The Anne of Green Gables house was a hoot: Joan dressed up as Anne, and even posed for pictures taken by some Japanese teenagers. (Anne is a folk heroine for Japanese women.)
