beachbum6264 Posted April 5, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2008 We had a group of 8 teachers on the March 24 sailing. 4 of them were cruise "virgins", so it was fun to see them live this for the first time :D Embarkation: easy, we had a shuttle from the Radisson (we had 3 cars and didn't want to pay for all them at the port). Lines moved quickly and we were on board before we knew it. Part of the fun of this cruise was "taking" our principal (photo on a stick) and taking her picture EVERYWHERE!!! Ship in general: Yep, it's old and small, but well kept. Wear and tear as expected, but they were cleaning every day everywhere. Brown water? once or twice for a second or so, but not anything to be bothered with. Food: We ate dinner in the main dining room every night. Waiter and asst. waiter were AWSOME. We've been having "Nonilon withdrawal" all week. Food was wonderful, no complaints at all. We ordered extra entrees to share, and it was all "no problem". Ports: Cozumel.... got a taxi and went to Paradise Beach. I've been there before, and it was as nice as I remember. Had lunch and a few ;) drinks there, then some shopping and back on the ship. Calica: basically a rock quarry. But Playa Del Carmen is just a short taxi ride away. Beautiful beach, we got chairs at the "Happy Coconut" and ate and drank there all day. No pushy waiters, just there when you want them. All in all : it was great. We went ready to enjoy everything and have a great time, and we did. No complaints, we would all do it again in a heartbeat. :)
