Concierge Open when we arrive?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if the Concierge in the CL is there when we first board the ship? If we want to make reservations at Chops or Portofino do we make those through the Concierge or just go directly to the restaurants?

Thanks

Teresa

Theresa: Can't speak for all ships, but all ships we have been on, the Concierge hours are followed on all days except the "change over" day. That is the concierge is there in the AM (usually 7or 8 to 11AM) and again during happy hour (5-8 or 8:30PM). On "change over" day, the AM hours are not observed. If you need something prior to the evening hours the first day, you will need to wait, do it prior to boarding or do it yourself.....;)

Usually, on boarding day, the Concierge will not be in the lounge until about 4:30 or 5:00 PM. The Concierge is usually there for the breakfast setup and then again in the evening to serve drinks.

You can stop by the restaurant to make reservations or give them a call on the phone. We rarely use the Concierge to make reservations.

HI Pete & Lola,

We too book our own reservations for the specialty restaurants. We do it when we board and don't wait for the Concierge to do it for us. It's such a simple thing to do, that we just do it, lol.

We we happy meeting you on Radiance. We are going to miss Mariner when she leaves for the west coast. The time between then and when Freedom arrives seems like forever to us.

OP, enjoy your cruise.

If you are staying in a full suite, the Concierge may (may) contact you ahead of time and ask if there's anything he or she can do. You can ask him/her to make your reservations prior to boarding. Otherwise it's a simple matter to drop by the restaurant or call to make your own reservations.

We're leaving tomorrow and are sailing on Monday in a GS. Haven't heard from the concierge.

Enjoy your vacation - we didn't hear from the concierge on the Jewel but got an email from him on the Liberty. It depends on the ship.

If you pick up your phone as soon as you board you will get your reservation. If you decide later on to change it, the concierge can help with that later on.
