Dave85 Posted April 6, 2008 #11 Share Posted April 6, 2008 Mariott Biscayne Bay Miami Yes --- Hyatt Place Ft. Lauderdale No* *We were part of the "soft opening" for the Hyatt Place, so it may well be better now that it's fully up and running and the construction is (presumably) finished. Dave this used to be The Amerisuites that we would never go back to again, the website makes it look really nice now and the price has *doubled* since we stayed there last March. I hope it is nicer since the construction is finished cause if I payed 200 a nite for what we stayed in I would scream.

vacruizer Posted April 6, 2008 #18 Share Posted April 6, 2008 This is weird one for me. 1. Sleep Inn (booked, but never made it due to flight delays) 2. Dania, FL (FLL) 3. No - even though I never made it to the hotel. They were exceptionally rude on the phone when I called to confirm my reservation a few days beforehand and again when I called the night we supposed to arrive to let them know that we would not make it due to flight delays and couldn't fly out until the next morning. No, "We're sorry, thanks for letting us know." but instead the guy cut me off and very snippily told me that we'd be charged for the night anyway and hung up on me. I knew we'd still be charged but was put off by the attitude and thought I'd help them out by letting them know. So they lost my business for any future cruises. So I guess technically I stayed at my house the night before our last cruise, but not because I was trying to!:D
JulieCruiser Posted April 6, 2008 #19 Share Posted April 6, 2008 Intercontinental Hotel, San Juan, Puerto Rico Isla Verde area. Yes, would love to stay there again, but alas it wasn't the priceline hotel we got this year. This hotel is more expensive, but nice. Radisson downtown San Juan - No. Nice rooftop pool, but that's all that we liked. Restaurant had crappy food too! We walked across the street to Burger King for breakfast because we couldn't stand the thought of eating in the restaurant again. Also got this hotel thru priceline. This year we ended up getting Marriott Stellaris Resort and Casino thru priceline, but have already read that pool area is hardly in the sun all day and the water is rough/dangerous offshore. Sounds like there will be nice eating places in the neighborhood to try.

emmysmommy Posted April 6, 2008 #21 Share Posted April 6, 2008 Pre-Cruise: Embassy Suites - Ft. Lauderdale - Definitely will stay here again. Post Cruise: Renaissance - Ft. Lauderdale - Would probably not stay here again since the ES was a better deal. Also ES had a better pool, free breakfast, complimentary shuttle service around the area, and larger/cheaper rooms. JMHO.
