Bar Harbour Tours?

Interested in Lulu's Lobster Boat Tour and Oli's Trolley. Any recommendations for either of these tours? Better to take boat tour in AM or afternoon and suggest taking 1 hr or 2 1/2 hr trolley tour?

Thanks,

We did the Lobster boat tour last year and really enjoyed it. We did our tour around noon as I rember it. We thought it would be warmer then and tendering can be delayed in Bar Harbor and those on ship's tours normally get the first tenders. Not only did we learn a lot about lobsters but got to see a lot of other wild life including two bald eagles. There is a great place for lobster rolls- which you can take on the boat with you- just across from where you meet Captain John.

Thanks for your reply. I had read there are sometimes tender problems in this port. Don't know if we'll have time to do both trolley and lobster boat but Lulu's looks very interesting. Did you walk over from tender drop off to where Lulu boat is docked?

You are welcome its a short walk, if you book the Lulu on line they will give you all the directions you need as well as a phone number you can call when you get to Bar Harbor.

Great! Thanks again.

Did you take children with you? Where the a lot of young kids on the trip? When you got back would you have had a few hours to go to Acadia?

Thanks

Lulu's is about 1/4-1/2 mile from the pier. It is a short walk. Bar Harbor has lots of great little shops If you want to go to Acadia, you can either take an organized tour with Olis Trolly or get on one of the Island Explorer busses. These are free, (No "tour" given, just drives from spot to spot on the island.) You can get on and off at your leisure, because they are constantly making trips. Have a great trip. Bar Harbor is beautiful.:D 100_0382.jpg100_0395.jpg
