Vancouver airport to cruise term.

Hi,

YVR is about 15 kms from Canada Place, which is about a 1/2 hr drive on a good day. On a bad day, it could take you up to an hour.

The DT Vancouver core is very walkable. You can be anywhere in the core and you would be within a 20-30 minute walk of anything. So, depending on what you are looking for in a hotel, what you consider "walking distance", and what you are willing to pay for a hotel, choices abound.

There are many hotels within walking distance of Canada Place, but it all depends on what you consider to be "walking distance". The two hotels that come to mind that are pretty much at the cruise terminal are Pan Pacific at Canada Place and the Fairmont Waterfront (which is pretty much across the street from Canada Place). There are many other hotels around the area that I could recommend, but it really depends on what you are looking for.

Hope that helps.

How far is it from the Vancouver Airport to the Cruise Terminal which I believe is at Canada Place.

Also are there any hotels within walking distance to the port???

We have two cruise terminals, one at Canada Place which is downtown and the other is at the Ballantyne Pier which is in an industrial neighbourhood about 2 to 3 miles from Canada Place. There are really no hotels that we want to speak of around the Ballantyne terminal. You choices for coming into downtown from YVR are by cab which will cost you about $35 to $40 or the Airporter shuttle which is $13.50 pp.

Besides the two hotels the OP has mentioned your choice will be driven by budget. During the height of the Alaska Cruise Season it is hard to find a good hotel within walking distance of Canada Place at under $200 per night and $300+ is more the norm. Some that I can recommend are the Hyatt Regency,, La Soleil and Terminal City Tower all within 4/5 blocks of CP. Others would be the Delta and the Marriot Pinnacle. All of these are good hotels, in good locations and all within walking distance of the sights of downtown.

If these don't work for you, come back and we will find someothers for you.
