The distance is approx. 95 miles on 2 lane state roads and depending on the time and season, it will take approx. 2H 30M.

The train ride takes 3H with a 20M stop at the top. Adults are $59 and children are $39.

Trips are twice per day until mid-June and then hourly after that until October.

If you just want to get to the top of Mt Washington, you could take you car up the auto road. It takes about 30M to drive to the top and 45M to drive down. Rate is $20 for car & driver + $7 for each additional adult; and unlimited time at the top.

The route is basically the same as going to the cog rr but the cog is more on the western side of the mt and the auto road is more on the eastern and shorter at about 75 miles; time 1H 50M to the base.
