Carnival Inspiration

We are booked on the Oct 10 trip and haven't seen any info about an itinerary change. Apparently we aren't going to Grand Cayman.........My real concern,tho, is I have been checking Carnival's web site for updates on itinerary changes and noticed that alot of the cruises have been modified to shorter cruises (i.e. 7 days are now 5 and 5 days are now 4) Sure hope that doesn't happen........Anyone have any info yet? Thanks!!

The main reason a cruise would get shortened is when the ship cannot safely arrive/depart from that specific port. The Florida ports were dangerous during Hurricane Jeanne last weekend, so the ships were held out at sea until the storm passed and the ports reopened. With no hurricanes in sight (knock wood!!) there shouldn't be any more changes in dates.

 

Grand Cayman is severely damaged. I hope they can reopen soon, for the sake of the local economy. You will probably not be able to make a port call the week of 10/10 though...

 

We were on the Inspiration in July and LOVED it!! Learn about the stairs near the pool on the Lido deck that pop out on the Promenade deck near the casino and the elevators.!

I'll be sailing the week after you and I have been looking also. But I think the ship is in drydock right now so there is no current info about itinerary. I'm wondering if they will do an extra sea day or Pregreso perhaps.

Just heard from our travel agent and we are now going to Progresso, Playa del Carmen, Belize and Costa Maya, which is just fine with us. Can't wait!!

There is a ferry from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel for $18 round trip so if you were counting on Cozumel, it is still a possibility. No matter, we LOVE cruising.
