Fuel sur-charge

I just read that Carnival cruise lines are adding additional surcharges - $9.00 now per person for the first 2 passengers and $2-$3 for addtional passengers. I am sure celebrity will up their charges too. BOOK before 4/21/2008 to SAVE.

From the Carnival site:

 

"Effective for all new bookings on April 21, 2008, the fuel supplement will increase from $5 to $7 per guest, per day (based on double occupancy). In addition, a fuel supplement of $2 per guest per day will apply to third/fourth/fifth guests."

 

Looks like they're making up for having to refund the 'retroactive' surcharges -- and a continuing rise in oil prices, of course. Reasonable to expect RCCL/X to follow.
