Super Bowl Sunday on Ship

It's likely they'll have it, especially since kickoff would be an hour or two after your sailaway. We were in port at Casa de Campo in 2004 aboard Constellation, and they had big-screen TVs set up in one of the big lounges -- they were even running a numbers game. And there are other reviews of cruising on Super Bowl Sunday. But every ship is different, and satellite signal and licensing issues do arise sometimes.

We were on the February 3rd cruise on the Millenium out of Ft. Lauderdale.

The Super Bowl was shown (via satellite) in several venues on the ship. There was a huge movie screen in the Celebrity Theater, along with 2 huge HD tvs in there as well.

The game was also shown on several TVs in the Casino (the ship had already sailed by kickoff.

I was very concerned about missing the game because I am a huge NY Giants fan. However, I got to see the entire game.

The atmosphere in the Celebrity Theater was electric, with much cheering going on for both teams. In addition, there were typical Super Bowl munchies all around, as well as sandwiches.

After the game, the satellite feed of the post game coverage was available on stateroom tvs for several hours, with the typical analysis and replays and interviews. It was a great way to spend the first night at sea (only complaint, because it was satellite, the typical Super Bowl commercials were not shown, although I heard that they were lacking in humor this year).

Your husband should be able to get his fill of the game.

Enjoy your cruise

We were on the Galaxy during the last Superbowl, and it was shown in the rooms, in the main theater, and the casino. There were also snacks provided. Also, in the casino, you were able to bet on a grid on the score of the game.
