Does anyone know if the computers on HAL for email access have a program called "Active X" that allows remote access to your own computer?

I would think Active X control would be part of their setup, but I really can't say for sure. It is a component needed for viewing a number of websites.

"Active X" is a class (i.e., hundreds and hundreds of different ones) of controls used in Internet Explorer. Are you using GoToMyPC? If so, you'll need Java installed on the client machine (the one on the ship) which I think is true. If not, which service are you using?

I was able to successfully log into my office computer while on HAL ships. Of course there is no guarantee that your setup is like mine.
