Free Style 2.0 on the Dawn

Has any recent cruisers heard anything on 2.0 for the Dawn? I heard that the Jade and Jewel were done. We have a May 11th Cruise and hope something will be in place by then. I know NCL said all ships will be done

by June 1 which is only a couple weeks beyond our cruise.

I just got off the Dawn and didn't see any 2.0 in place, but the man who handles the freestyle rewards said it was scheduled for sometime in May. Maybe you'll get lucky!!

I have a friend that works on the dawn and freestyle 2.0 will be fully onboard for the first Bermuda cruise. They have four days with no pax to change carpet and beds on the way from Miami to NYC.

I don't think they have four days w/o passengers. I BELIEVE the ship will dock in Miami on 4/13. I BELIEVE there is a conference on 4/15.

I am on the 4/27 sailing to Bermuda and hope freestyle 2.0 is implemented. :)

CruizinwithKids, you are correct, the ship is docking in Miami on the 13th at the end of the Caribbean runs, then it is going to NYC with no pax and the conference is on the 15th with pax. So from the 13th to the 15th, the remainder of Freestyle 2.0 will be put in place. My friend (he is a Pit boss in the casino) told me that when there are no pax onboard the crew gets to have crew parties that are held in the pax areas, normally poolside.

I think that stuff is so interesting. I wonder how they will get rid of all the old stuff - dump it in the ocean? J/K.

 

We were on the Majesty in October, the last cruise before the drydock. The crew was really looking forward to all their time off. I guess they had to work till about 5, then got to spend their evenings in Boston. I love that crew and we heard some great stories as to their plans. Some were hilarious.

I laid down in my cabin to take a nap, woke up, and the carpet in my hallway had disappeared!! Came back from dinner, they were almost done laying the new carpet. We talked to one of the young ladies in the kid's club, she said they were going into 2.0 and cross training from 9am to 11pm this week.
