Rare chrismch Posted April 13, 2008 #26 Share Posted April 13, 2008 My DH needs to have his coffee before he can face the day and that is such a treat to order it in with fruit or danish in the morning. It may be just a limited menu but it's nice to be able to come back after a day out on excursions and order a sandwich while you freshen up. And for those late night munchies cookies and milk is great - it makes you feel like you're a kid again sneaking down to the kitchen when everyone else is asleep. Casshew Posted April 13, 2008 #27 Share Posted April 13, 2008 Yeah the morning offerings are not too bad, I only eat cereal & fruit anyway so it is convenient to have it delivered. Even in the dining room or buffet I have my boring bowl of cereal, I'm not a big breakfast eater.
teripp Posted April 13, 2008 #28 Share Posted April 13, 2008 Picture this. Morning coffee on your deck relaxing before a hectic day of sight seeing begins. Sooo relaxing. I love to induldge in room service on a cruise. My friend whom I travel with is decaf I am regular coffee (or hightest as she calls it) a danish or two and some fruit and beautiful scenery really in my opinion is the perfect vacation way to start a day. We get both coffees and no issue at all. In some hotels you have to brew one then brew the other... Later afternoon cookies while reading on the balcony is sooo relaxing. But that is what cruising is all about... Love those oatmeal cookies though only found them once last time. :(

Are we there yet? Posted April 13, 2008 #32 Share Posted April 13, 2008 We always get the Guacamole and tortilla chips...so good!:D along with cold beers and Caesars!! I wonder if they will have Caesars on the Tahitian Princess? The best Caesars I have had are at my sons hockey arena where it is a secret recipe with shrimp on the bottom and a dill pickle and cucumber on the side of the glass!:D So good! Rare chrismch Posted April 14, 2008 #33 Share Posted April 14, 2008 What are Caesars? At first I thought you were referring to a Caesar salad, but as it is in a glass I am confused.
Toto2Kansas Posted April 14, 2008 #34 Share Posted April 14, 2008 What are Caesars? At first I thought you were referring to a Caesar salad, but as it is in a glass I am confused. Yes, Chicken Caesar's are a salad, the item mentioned previously is drink popular with Canadians (if I am not mistaken) often called a bloody caesar, kind of like a bloody mary, but different. Not on the room service menu though. ;)

Not on the room service menu though. ;) Toto is right, it is very popular with Canadians and is almost like a bloody Mary but made with clamato juice instead of tomato juice. The rim of the glass is also rimmed with celery salt. Here is a site with some info on them; http://www.artofdrink.com/2006/11/caesar-cocktail.php

The best Caesars I have had are at my sons hockey arena where it is a secret recipe with shrimp on the bottom and a dill pickle and cucumber on the side of the glass!:D So good! hmmm...I'll have to try and make it that way! Sounds too good!!:D Mind you, there's just something about having a Caesar on my balcony while cruising as opposed to my own backyard. Its just not the same :( Enjoy & have a fantastic time on the Tahitian!
