Vacation guarantee Just 1 person out of 4?

Has any had any experience with just one person using the guarantee in a cabin of 4 people? If so, how would that work if the 1 person was the 2nd person price wise on the documents?

Any one ever walked on the ship and used the guarantee before it ever sailed?

I think you can only opt for the vacation guarantee at the first port of call. If you could do it before you sail, there wouldn't be a need for travel insurance.
