MonaCD Posted April 12, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2008 Have only been off the Glory for a few hours, still at the airport kiling time. We had a fantastic week. I saved the Capers and other info but it's all in my checked bag but feel free to ask any questions and I"ll try to answer. We cruised with friends and had a cabin with an extra long balcony, our friends had the corner aft and we opened the divider betwen our balconies, lost of space to lounge and great views. The only donside to these cabins is there is not a sofa in either, other then that, thery were perfect. We didn't participate in any of the activities and never spent any time around the main lido deck pool so I can't tell you much about what goes on there. It was a jammed packed cruise with plenty of kids since it was Spring Break for the locals but I have to say, they didn't create much problems for us at least. The found our room steward to be great, our dining room staff to be fast and efficiant and the casino staff to be top notch!! We enjoyed the food, especially the supper club. MonaCD Posted April 12, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted April 12, 2008 In Cozumel, we and our friends grabbed a cab to chen rio beach, about 30 minutes from the port, an out of the way place, enjoyed a few carona there. In Belize we took the ship excursion to Gof's Caye for some snorkeling, had done it before but water much calmer this time so really fantastic snorkelling, I like this excursion because they take you directly from the ship to the caye and back. In Nassau, we took a cab to the Wydam Crystal Palace resort and casino, we paid $15 PP fe to use the pool and beach, our frinds hit the casino. MonaCD Posted April 14, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted April 14, 2008 I know people like to see pics so I’ll post a few here of some of the things we experienced on the Glory last week. We arrived the day prior to departure so our friends took us to Rusty’s Friday afternoon and we watched an RCL ship depart as we enjoyed a few Caronas. We had cabin 6450 which is the cabin next to the corner aft, it is a "sideways" cabin and set up a bit differently. I didn’t take pics of the interior but it basically has everything the same as a regular balcony cabin except a sofa but the beauty of it is, we had an extra long balcony. We opened the divider between our cabin and our friends' who had the corner aft. It worked out great because they had full sun most of the time and we were nicely shaded most of the time so you had your choice. Waiting for everyone to get back aboard at Cozumel. Beautiful, peaceful Goff’s Caye, Belize
MonaCD Posted April 14, 2008 Author #7 Share Posted April 14, 2008 Tendering back to the ship from Goff’s Caye How about the view from our balcony. The chocolate buffet. Didn’t get pics of everything since it wasn’t quite open when I took the pictures.
MonaCD Posted April 14, 2008 Author #8 Share Posted April 14, 2008 Yes, there is a mini putt but hold on tight, you might just blow away!! The basketball & volleyball courts were very busy during this Spring Break week. As was the main Lido Deck Pool area The "Extra" special treats at "Creams" the pay extra coffee and sweets bar.,
MonaCD Posted April 14, 2008 Author #9 Share Posted April 14, 2008 The Emerald Room Supper Club - The lamb was divine There was actually some of this delectable 14 oz New York strip left on the plate when finished. And the warm chocolate melting cake has nothing over this chocolate trio. We only went to two of the shows, the magician and the "adult" hypnotist shows and enjoyed both. Someone had asked some time ago whether they stand or hit on 17 at the blackjack tables. At Christmas it was stand on all 17s, on this cruise they had all new felt on the tables and they hit on soft 17. The luggage express is available on this ship. Eligibility requirements are as follows: Flying out of the Orlando International Airport on the same day the ship arrives back in port with flights between 12:00 noon and 23:59PM. In the event of a connection flight, guests must have the same booking locator number Only domestic flights, international flights do not qualify. Participating airlines are: American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Air Tran, Continental Airlines, Jet Blue, Northwest Airlines, Alaska Airlines, United Airlines and US airways. MonaCD Posted April 14, 2008 Author #11 Share Posted April 14, 2008 Was just remembering, we had the 6:15 dining time. A couple evenings, after dinner, we went to the Azure pool, aft on the lido deck and practically had the place to ourselves. We went on the last sea day to the spa to use the hot tub there as I'd read that it's hardly used but they had some kind of session going on in the spa pool. And definitely get a chocolate martini from Donna at the Burgundy bar, but only have one!!! At the casino bar on the second formal evening, the appletini was very tasty and the lemon drop quite yummy

MonaCD Posted April 14, 2008 Author #16 Share Posted April 14, 2008 I wish I was back there now!!! As for food, be sure to try the calamari fritters in the fish & chip restaurant. You can find it upstaris at the aft end of the Red Sail buffet. I think They were even better then the fish and chips or fried oysters. Do try the spring rolls at the Asian Grill and any of their noodle dishes. On the Italian Nation day at the Red Sail buffet, get the pork picatta, I could have eaten the whole tray. You get prime rib twice in the dining room, on the first formal night and the last night of the cruise. I'm not fond of the lobster they serve (I come from lobster fishing territory) so I had the prime rib the first night and the Neptune Platter the last night. The neptune platter has 2 pieces of fish, 2 shrimp and some calamari all with a crispy batter and a yummy dipping sauce as well as curly fries. I like the warm chocolate melting cake but didn't even have it this trip! I far prefer the creme brulee they serve the first night, it is to die for and you can flame me all you want but I wish they had that on the alternate menu rather then the warm chocolate melting cake  On the last night there was a cuppacino(sp?) ice cream cake that was pretty darn nice too.
