This will be my first cruise. It is on the Pride in May. 10 of us are going. I have discovered theese boards, and now feel like I know it all. C.C is a wonderfull site. Anyway, i've been able to answer every question put to me so far ,except when the dw asked me what deck do you go to when you get hurt or sick. Please help so I can hold my head up again.

All the way down to the bottom...Deck 0, I believe it is on most ships...or maybe Deck 1 on some. But its at the very bottom...there are signs for it on each ship.

It is an additional cost though...keep that in mind. And from what I've heard...not exactly cheap! I certainly would go in a heartbeat if I were having a real problem...but I wouldn't go if I just bumped my knee or something.

 Like the other posts say deck 0, it is costly but worth it if needed. Also I would call pursers deck to get someone to escort you it you are not exactly sure where iit is if there is a real emergency. You don't want to waste time. Take what ever medications you need and also extras, ie cold medicine, aloe gel, pain relievers etc. Hope you never have to use it. Have a great cruise, welcome to the board and I guarantee you will be hooked.

Also - If you aren't really sick, but seasick, go to the top deck as near the front of the ship you can. Look straight out to the horizon and sky and try to focus on one thing. The cool breeze and steady gaze will help tremendously! Last thing you want to do is go to the cabin, lay down, and close your eyes. (Old sea captain uncle gave me this hint years ago, and it works.):)

Don't plan on getting sea sick, i've been on 3 day deep sea fishing trips and it was rockin and rollin. Never got sick. But thats a hint i will let the rest of the group know. See you all just make me seem like i'm a pro even though i've never been on a cruise. Thanks
