shellfreak Posted April 12, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2008 Well, I've been home for a little over 2 hours-- unpacking and doing laundry. I will post a review later. This was our 1st RCL cruise and we enjoyed it very much. We did the Western Carib. Labadee was awesome! This was mostly a chill cruise for us-- a lot of resting and relaxation. I will say a couple of interesting things happened (1) family getting kicked off in Jamaica (2) guy with no pants on 2nd formal nite:eek: and (3) guy losing his shorts on the flow rider. I'll try to answer questions More later . . . Beverly

English Jane Posted April 12, 2008 #10 Share Posted April 12, 2008 I did a little double take there and had to remind myself that I am reading American English rather than English English as pants to us are the name for male underwear - now that would be some variation from the formal norm! :D

Tricia Hi Tricia, What is a roll call group? I did join the mix and mingle, but I never have been on a Royal Carribean cruise before. The last time I was on a cruise was over 10 years ago. Who gets involved with this group? Is it couples or singles, kids etc... I am going just with my boyfriend. Love to meet a few people.
CruiseTricia Posted April 13, 2008 #22 Share Posted April 13, 2008 Here is the link to our roll call (group of people sailing on Liberty April 26). This roll call group has been active for a very long time so you probably want to start reading the last page and maybe a couple back from there.... It would take you FOREVER to read from the beginning!! Everyone is really nice - one of the people (Gary) has even posted pictures of a lot of us that are going and he also designed a picture to put on T-shirts to have made so we can recognize each other on the first day. I printed mine out and am having it made tomorrow. After the muster drill we are all going to try to meet up at the pool bar. Would love to have you join! http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=380937
shellfreak Posted April 13, 2008 Author #23 Share Posted April 13, 2008 Guy w/no pants- On the second formal nite a guy comes walking into the Rembrandt dining room on deck 3, walks right past our table and I said-- "That guy doesn't have any pants on." He was wearing a red speedo, socks, shoes, a blue blazer, red ascot and a white captain's hat w/mirrored aviator sunglasses. He walked to the back of the room and everyone's cameras started going off. We didn't take one (I wanted to ;)) so if anyone took a pic- please post. He walked in & out a couple of times finally the head waiter had him escorted out. He was a young guy maybe 19 or 20. He was allowed back in only after he put some pants on. I saw him a couple of times on the ship after that-- I always knew it was him by his shades. The family that got kicked off- Our table mates told us this one and another family we met in Grand Cayman told us the same thing. It was when we were leaving Jamaica. The family was Asian. Mom, Dad and son w/red spiked hair. The son had obviously done something because the father looked like he was pleading w/security. My guess is that he "purchased" something in Jamaica that he shouldn't have. A porter brought their luggage and dumped it on the dock. So if anyone else knows what happened- please fill us in. I'm working on my review. Hopefully I'll have it done tomorrow. Beverly
vickiw0318 Posted April 13, 2008 #24 Share Posted April 13, 2008 Wow, sounds like a Mardi Gras costume! (I was saw a picture in the paper of a guy at Mardi Gras wearing a shirt collar with a LONG tie, dress shoes, socks and carrying a briefcase. Thank goodness, he was photographed with the side and the tie was "in place.")
