eceteacher Posted April 13, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2008 We will be arriving by air from Atlanta to Tampa on the day of our cruise on the Carnival Legend. (June22) What is the best way to get from the airport to the Port of Tampa? Also we would like to purchase some soft drinks to take aboard the ship, is there going to be a convenient place for us to do that between the airport and port? We are planning to stick a baggage sticker on the case of drinks and send it through with our luggage, is that acceptable? Any other suggestion? First time cruise for my BF and I, but we are going with BIL and SIL, they are veteran cruisers. Also would welcome any suggestions on NOT TO FORGET items or DEFINITELY NEED TO DO plans! Thanks in advance for suggestions and ideas.:)
BeachBumMama Posted April 13, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 13, 2008 Lot's of questions but you'll be able to find more answers under specific boards. If you go to the main boards (you can get there by clicking on Boards on the top of this page) and scroll down you'll find East Coast Departures. You'll be able to find all kinds of info under Florida, it has its own section, on cabs and transportation and the like. Also, you can check out your ship under the Carnival board. And you'll want to check out the Ports of Call section for whatever ports you're sailing to. And then under Roll Call, you can find your sailing ship and date and join others who will be on your same sailing. These places will give you more specific answers to lots of questions I'm sure you have. Takes lots of reading but the planning and such is half the fun of the cruise itself!:) Hope that will help you out a bit, I haven't been on your particular ship and you didn't say what your itinerary was, so I don't know your ports. Have a great time on your first cruise, but beware, it is addicting.:D Oh, and welcome to the boards!:)
Rare silentbob007 Posted April 13, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 13, 2008 A taxi will be the easiest/cheapest option. It is a set price of $22 (I think) to the port from the airport. You might ask your driver if he'll stop at a convenience store so you can run in.
