JC in CA Posted April 15, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2008 We are probably going to book the Alpine Zipline and Eco Tour through RCCL for our stop in Juneau on 6/19. My husband has a great fear of heights and will not go on the zipline. My questions for anyone who has taken this tour: - is there somewhere that he could wait where he might be able to see us "zipping"? - where is the Alpine zipline located in relation to the ship? If my husband wants to go along and try to watch- will he need to arrange some sort of transportation? - how many people are there in each tour? thanks for any info you might have! -JC in CA
tee_harbor Posted April 15, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2008 There are two zipline companies in Juneau: http://www.traveljuneau.com/planner/attractions/results.cfm?SubcategoryID=207 You're looking at the second company with the RCCL tour. If I were you, I'd call both companies directly and ask your questions. From the sound of the three hours, the Eco Tour includes hiking, so it may be of value for your husband. It's up on the ski resort, which will be gorgeous in June, with wildflowers blooming and great views of the mountains. The first company takes you across the channel from the docks, so includes a speed boat ride, then carries you up the hillside in a Mule, so this might be fun for your husband as well.
