Just wanted to say thank you for all the great advice I got from everyone on the boards. I was very prepared.

It was a great time and I will post a review later.

If anyone has questions about the ship. We stayed in a PH suite, had the UBD, Chef table and ate at Sterlings.

We took advantage of the free internet so we could email the kids daily. I loved the free laundry service and was able to come home without laundry (except for underwear I couldn't see sending it). We loved the room service and ordered full lunches a couple of times and ate on our balcony. I would love to book a suite everytime but not sure that is possible. It was a special treat for our anniversary. I got to the ship by 11:30 and took advantage of the early embarkation and was actually the first person on the ship. I wasn't the first at the port but was standing in the right place at the right time. Don't forget to order the choc. covered strawberries very nice.

Free Internet? How? Never heard of that.

We are in a premium suite this sunday and I have a few questions, how did you handle dinner reservations, it says suite pax get priority but how? With the laundry did you just leave it in the bag for the room steward? And last about the internet, was it free for each pax in the suite or just first and second?

We had traditional seating and for the UBD, Sterling and Chef's table we just called but never mentioned we were in a suite but I guess they can figure it out by the room number.

We left our laundry in a bag in the room. The steward would pick it up in the morning and it was returned the next day before 5:00 the following day.

As for the internet, we shared the one password but never tried to set up more than one account. I once tried to get on a computer next to my DH and it would not let me log on at the same time.

I just got back from this cruise as well. My girlfriend and I were disappointed by the service on the Caribbean Princess.

The biggest disappointment for me was the room service menu. On past cruises we really enjoyed being able to order dining room food and have it delivered to the room. All we could get on Princess was a very limited cheeseburger/hot dog/french fries type menu.

On several occasions I had to go in search of napkins and silverware while having lunch during peak hours. One time I asked a server if any was available and he turned around and walked off without saying anything. I assumed I was supposed to follow him.

The same thing happened with the head waiter in one of the dining rooms, as well. He lead us to within 5 yards of the table and pointed at it without saying anything. The table he sat us at was right between the door to the kitchen and the table the servers stack empty dishes on. Then the server handed us our menus without a word. A few minutes later she came back and asked if we were ready to order. I told her we were leaving. I felt like I had wasted my time putting on a tuxedo to go eat at the Golden Corral. We went to Sabatini's, where after I spoke with the manager they seated us without reservations and gave us great service and good food.

I was also a little put off by the language barrier. I know the employees are from all over the world and so are the cruisers, but I don't think I should have to point at the menu to order something. Maybe if they put numbers down the side like at a Chinese restaurant. That would about fit with the level of service.

I also had an issue with my cruise card. The ship's computer had my birthdate incorrect by about 20 years, so when I tried to buy an alcoholic drink the bartender wouldn't server. I'm pretty sure I don't look 11, but he was just doing his job. That required 2 trips to the passenger service desk. The next day when I was unable to use the card in the casino for the same reason. That required a trip to the casino service desk, then the customer service desk, then a trip back to the casino service desk. Each employee blamed the other and just tried to shuffle me back and forth. That issue never really got resolved.

Don't get me wrong, we had a good time on the cruise. But the over all level of service I got gave me the feeling of being on a "Wal-mart" cruise. I'm not THAT picky...I just prefer Target.

On a positive note...We stayed in Caribe 637, a BA room with a balcony, and it was great. I think the Caribe balconies are the best...large and half covered so you can sit in the sun or out of it.
