Please help recommend a sightseeing cruise in FL. We will be there for 2 days pre-cruise....have found many on-line....would you recommend -

Ducktour, Carrie B, Jungle Queen, Riverfront or any other. We are a family of 5(2adult/3kids(11,9,6). Just want to see the area sights w/narrated tour guide. Which is best do you think? Thanks!:)

The Water Taxi is the best deal, though the narration is spotty, depending on who the crew is. (That's not really their job - it's more for transportation, but it is by far the cheapest option for a big family!)

Also, it's great because it gives you on and off privileges all day for the whole group. The others are simply a tour. No on and off stops along the way. With the taxi, you can stop at the beach, take a tour of the intercoastal properties, then get back on and take it up to Las Olas Riverfront for shopping and dining!

The Jungle Queen is good if you don't mind paying more for their Dinner Cruise, which includes a top on their "Private Island" for a BBQ and a little dinner show.

NEW 2 CRUISIN...

Thanks for the info!

Since we have never been to Ft Lauderdale before we are doing 3 nights Pre-cruise and 2 nights Post-cruise to sightsee this area. We'll definitely be doing the Jungle Queen...afternoon tour and plan on getting on a water taxi and seeing where it goes...Roundtrip!

We like to stroll the hotel areas as well. We are staying on 17th Street pre-cruise and close to the beach post-cruise so we should have a great visit there as well.

Sun Trolley sounds like a fun thing to do too. Also do you have any info on the "Beach Place"? Is this similiar to the "Seaport Village" in San Diego?

Pat :)

You do not have to do the Jungle Cruise dinner cruise that includes the buffet. Jungle Cruise also runs daily morning and afternoon cruises that do not include meals. I loved both Jungle Cruises I have taken because the scenery is spactacular.

Another cruise we like is the Bay Harbor cruise in Miami that you pick up at Bayside. That one takes you past many celebrities' homes.

Don't know if it is still available, but little over a year ago we went to the Carrie B cruise website and were able to print out coupons for discounts for each ticket. There were 8 of us, so every little bit helps.

It you think you might be interested, check out their website.

We took the water taxi to south beach for our family of 4 and found the price to be wonderful--$22pp for round trip transportation and then once you get off the taxi you are able to walk right out of the marina to the bus stop for 50cents they take you right into the heart of south beach! Highly recommend it for a day trip from FLL if you are like us and did not have a car! We also waited until after we got off the ship to try and book an everglades tour and were not able to get one as they were all sold out by 11am. If you are interested in something like that I would book early!

If you have time to order it , we got an Entertainment Book for FLL and got buy one get one free coupons for the Carrie B/ Bonnet House /Science Museum/Everglades Tour/ and Flamingo Gardens. Also had dinner at a very nice restaurant Cafe Del Mar (on the Beach) for $17 off. We enjoyed the Carrie B Tour , our Water Taxi was good too but our crew was less informative. If you see a Braves ballcap in the New River my DH lost his in a gust of wind:)!
