pmoments Posted April 15, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2008 What time does RCCL start check-in for the cruise in Seward (southbound)? Also, we are taking the train down from Anchorage to Seward and staying athe the HI Express do we need a cab to get there or is it in walking distance? GlacierLady Posted April 16, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 16, 2008 Luggage can usually be dropped off at the white bins outside of the cruise ship terminal around 11-11:30am. Your luggage will go through security/xray and be waiting in your room. Check usually starts around 2-3pm. Holiday Inn isn't more than a block from the train depot. A very easy walk. Ship terminal is about 1/2 mile. Can be walked or a taxi/van for $5. Holiday Inn has transported luggage in the past for $$.
pmoments Posted April 17, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted April 17, 2008 Thanks for the info. Maybe I can see if Reown will hold our luggage until we are done with the boat tour.

mdeane Posted April 18, 2008 #6 Share Posted April 18, 2008 In all our cruises we have never been later than 11:30am boarding the ship. Usually go onboard and have lunch then go back off again especially if sailing at 9-10pm.
pmoments Posted April 18, 2008 Author #7 Share Posted April 18, 2008 We are doing the 11:30 - 5:30 cruise with Renown and check-in is 1 hour prior. Since RCCL will not be starting check-in before that we need to store our luggage. I will send Renown an email and check.
