Pool depth on Pearl & waterslide question

Hi all!

We are taking our first NCL cruise to Alaska on May 11 and wondering about the Tahitian pool...Looks like from the photo that the water slide ends in a shallow area--will my 5 year old be able to go on it? Also, what is the depth of the Tahitian? Hoping he'll be able to stand in part of it. Thanks so much!

Your son will be able to use the waterslide--very young children were using it and it ends in sort of a shallow trough. The pool is very deep--over 5 feet everywhere. So, you may want to bring water wings or a lifejacket or something like that if he is not a good swimmer. That is the only bad thing about the pools on the Pearl. They are nice and warm and freshwater.
