Question about timing of Patricks tour and sailing time

We board our ship at 5pm on Monday and remain in Papette until 5pm on Tuesday. We would like to take Patricks full day tour but it doesn't return until 5pm. Is it not a safe option? We are booked for the 4wD waterfall tour through the ship for Tuesday right now but heard great things about Patrick. Don't think we'd want to do it after the cruise before our flight.
